Delete your account
You can delete your Courtmate account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. You do not need the app installed to make the request.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Courtmate and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Type the confirmation exactly as shown, then confirm.
Deletion happens immediately. It cannot be undone, and the account cannot be recovered afterwards.
Ask us to delete it
If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would rather we did it, email courtmate.mw@gmail.com from the address on your account, or tell us the username or phone number you registered with so we can find it. We will confirm once it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes, permanently:
- Your posts, comments and likes.
- Everyone you follow, and every follow of you.
- Your notifications and notification settings.
- Any blocks and reports you made.
- Your push-notification subscriptions.
- Your messages and the conversations you were in.
- Your saved payment numbers.
- Your favourite clubs, game requests, invites and restock alerts.
Your profile is then stripped: your name, username, phone number, email address, photo, bio, date of birth, gender, city, court side, club and referral code are all erased. Your phone number and email are released, so you are free to register again with them later.
What is kept, and why
One anonymous record remains, holding no personal information. It exists because a player is referenced by match results, rankings, payments and admin audit records. Erasing it entirely would rewrite other players' match history and Elo ratings, and would destroy financial records we are required to keep. Wherever that record appears to anyone else, it reads only as a deleted player.
Nothing in it identifies you, and it is never used to contact you or to rebuild your profile.
